I'm not too sure I understand politicians. They are so powerful and can make many changes, yet when they speak I'm not too sure its their words that I'm hearing. I must say however, this election year with Obama and McCain, there has been several speeches given which to some extent seemed as though there was meaning and origination from the speaker. It means so much more to the audience when words are genuine. I wonder if those speeches really are the politician's sole words, or partially there is, or even there is at all. When the words aren't scripted its almost as though they are speaking to the public, for the public, and in the public's language....Prime example, anyone ever seen "Head of State" with Chris Rock?

So the world of communication is always changing...from your telegrams and horse and buggy to text messages and overnight shipping...what do you think has been the most efficient and successful form of communication or even the most beneficial device/advancement in communications.
